Eating from a Blender

Some of you know Jeremy Mucha. Others have only heard the legend. He of the bike courier career begun shortly after graduating with an MS in Electrical Engineering (Ga. Tech, of course). He of the 31 hard-boiled eggs in 14 minutes, one day after the 30 hard-boiled eggs, 29, and so on for the previous month... He, the 6'4", 200# behemoth riding around San Diego on a Vespa on Christmas... in an Eddie The Elf Costume... tossing candy canes at passersby (pics available under December 2005 on his blog), and riding a San Diego fire truck as Santa used to let him do.

Well, Mucha's latest misadventure involved shattering his jaw on a Wisconsin curb on his recent "Superweek" bike race trip. Subsequently, the jaw's been wired shut since. With a guy of his appetite, this creates issues. So what's he been doing to nourish himself? (Ensure goes only so far). Blending his meals in a Cuisinart in combinations that only he could dream up. His recent entries have mostly centered around the theme of creating fluid meals out of his favorite entrees. Sunday's (August 6) blog entry is a treat that all Junto members can enjoy. Mucha's blog is loads of fun, and he's also part of our gang as the founding member of the Junto of the West, San Diego, so you may want to bookmark it. The guy's nickname is "Cap'n Extreme." Need I say more? You'll hear from him in the news someday.

Krispy Kreme + Coffee = Breakfast
Brat + cucumber salad + tomatoes + Tacate = Dinner
