R.I.P., James

A Junto favorite, James was a true pioneer. Today, we remember the man's good and, shall we say... outrageous... life. Among Junto members' favorite James memories:
- Uri Rainisch, GT Crew alum and native of Augusta, Mr. Brown's hometown, encounters James Brown at the Shoney's breakfast buffet. Mr. Brown's bodyguards are spotted playing Playstation inside Mr. Brown's limo as Uri leaves the establishment.
- Snow and Mucha, driving in ATL, encounter Mr. Brown strutting down North Ave., boombox perched on his shoulder blaring "Popcorn."
- Mucha attends James Brown concert in San Diego. At 4:00 a.m. EDT, Mucha dials a sleeping Snow, who sleeps through the ring. Upon checking the message in the morning, Snow hears the live soulful sounds of the Godfather of Soul coming through the Verizon pipeline.
- Joshua G. Vose, esq., GT Crew alum, whilst attending med school in Augusta, encounters Mr. Brown at 2:00 a.m. in the aisle of Kroger, piling many loaves (I recall hearing "12" as an approximate number) of bread in his arms. When JGV says, "Hey, you're James Brown," Mr. Brown, terror in his eyes, shrieks that famous, "HEY!" then throws all the loaves in the air and streaks out of the store.
