
... which, for different mountains, means different things. Bryce Resort in VA, our usual Jan/Feb Junto weekend getaway, has had a tough time of it, with the combination of La Nina and a northerly jet stream. Hopefully the stream will move soon and we can make some more snow, or else we may be stuck with more of this (webcam image from today). The mountain is open, but as you can see above, the offerings are not typical January fare for Bryce.
Fortunately, Junto members just returned from an epic trip to Schweitzer in Idaho to get their weeklong holiday ski/board fix. The shot below was taken on Saturday, forever to be known in Junto lore as "that day we drove away from 3 feet of fresh powder to go back to our day jobs on the East Coast."
