Insanity!).SNOW-pinion (albeit a non-economist's take): Let the shady lenders, unethical CEO's, and idiotic over-buying homeowners take their lumps now. Take the hit to the economy now, trim the fat, and start with a clean slate and more trim marketplace. Simplistically naive? Maybe. :-) Congress, take the time necessary to get this legislation right.

This is serious stuff.
I don't believe in a bailout. It bothers me tremendously. Even if it's only $250 Billion up front with the rest later. ("...only $250 Billion..." - staggering!!!!!!!!)
