Libations - Heineken Light

"What?" you ask. "Snow's writing up the most recent entry for Drink of the Week? What of the trademarked 'Viceroy's DotW' entry? Everyone knows that Viceroy KLIM is the only Junto member qualified to write a 'libation' entry."

Oh, how sorely mistaken you are. You see, Viceroy KLIM has delegated me with the responsibility for this week (actually, last week, but I'm only getting to it now), due to-- get this-- having "no ideas about good drinks to write about." Huh? Doesn't this sound about as unlikely as Donald Trump not knowing what to say about New York real estate, supermodels, money? Come on! In any case, I gladly take on the mantle of Libation Librarian for the week.

"Okay," you sniff, suspecting that lightweight Snizow don't know nuthin' when it comes to libations. "So I'll accept that Snizow is writing for this week, but a *light* beer? HEINEKEN LIGHT?" Your fears are confirmed-- he don't know nuthin'.

Get over it! Give it a try! It's summertime. Young John Stewart ferried this to a Snizow cookout over Memorial Day weekend, and Snow turned his nose up. A week later, a leftover bouteille beckoned, so the 'lil Hollish rascal was tried... and IT WAS GOOD! Better--dare say I-- than a regular Heineken. Crisp, clean, tasty, smooth, and cooooool -- all that a summer brew should be. Over time, I drank the rest of the leftovers, and last night took the critical step of approval-- purchasing me own 12-pack. Had one after sweating my way through a HOT bike ride today and hitting the pool. Mmmmmm. Icy esophagus accomplished!

For best results, pour this bizshizniggity into a frozen pint glass on a hot one. Sure does help keep 'em 100-degree days at bay, pardner! HOLLAAAAAA! High-five the closest Hollish guy to ya; he's succeeded at something the rest of the world will laugh at-- but he knows that the true libating connoisseurs will laud his concoction as a landmark in light beerness.

The Heineken HL is Snizow's Slam-Dunk "Drink of the Week" for July 9-15! Viceroy approval pending, that is.
