Stughetti

If all Junto members did their homework tonight they would have watched the American debacle unfold on the slopes of the La Toussuire. The 182k route was touted as "the hardest single day of the Tour" by many commentators including legendary cyclist Lance Armstrong. When Armstrong was asked his opinion of who might become his successor, two words "Floyd Landis" came out of his mouth. Unfortunately for the gritty Lancaster native and former Mennonite with a gimp hip, the legend (Armstrong) spoke those words before stage 16, not after. Floyd like so many other could have been cyclist, did not properly recover from his performance on L'Alpe-d'Huez or properly fuel up for the grueling stage 16.

Why is this important inquiring minds of the intellectual society want to know.... b/c post happy hour at RB tomorrow Stu-partment will be hosting a spaghetti dinner in honor of pre-race preparation. Saturday's race referenced below, well not quite as grueling as the Tour de France, will be equally as competitive and properly named the Giro de Coppi. All athletes Tour de France contenders and Giro de Coppi neophytes alike, need to recognize the value of proper preparation.

So don't be like Floyd. Eat up, and let Stu know if you'd like to join him for a Tour de France watching party, and post brew chow down. peterstewart@gmail.com
